A vibration system consists of the installation of bodyshakers (speakers modified to produce oscillation) in the seat or baquet of your rig, with the aim of being able to perceive in your body the engine revolutions, gear changes, bumps of the road or car suspensions.

It is an absolute priority has a good vibration system in your simulator to have a much greater immersion when driving.

Once you try it, you can’t go back.

PERSONALIZED ADVICE
Contact with me to make personalized advice on everything related to the vibration system (orders, assembly, configuration, software, drivers and all kinds of doubts).
Is it essential for Simracing?
Totally. Once you try it, you can no longer race without them.
What Bodyshakers do I buy?
It depends on the seat you have. For reclining seats, better use the open bodyshakers to install them inside. For fixed back seats of fiberglass or carbon fiber, use closed bodyshakers to screw them back and / or sides. Or use 4 economical closed bodyshakers, or put 2 powerful closed bodyshakers in the seat back. This last option is recommended as they are real 100W bodyshakers and vibrate much more than the economic ones.
Do I need the low-pass filter?
For audio vibration only. If you use Simvibe, it is not necessary.
Do those amplifiers have a power supply?
Yes.
Do I need another sound card if I use Simvibe software?
It depends. If you use a USB headphones to listen to the sound, the sound card integrated into the motherboard will be enough. If you use speakers with jack 3.5mm, then you will need another secondary sound card for Simvibe (internal or external).
Can I use any amplifier?
It all depends on its features. You have to consider the impedance of the bodyshakers that are 4 OHM and make sure that the output of each amplifier channel is of the same value. In the case of the 160W SMSL amplifier, as it accepts impedances from 4 to 8 OHM, 4 bodyshakers can be connected in serial mode, that way we get 4 + 4 = 8 Ohm of operation per channel. In addition, in this way we get to take less than 100 W per channel so that the bodyshakers hold on perfectly.
Serial or Parallel connection of bodyshakers?
conexion-altavoces If they are connected in serial mode, the impedances of each bodyshaker are added (4 + 4 = 8 ohm).

If they are connected in parallel mode, it is divided between two (4/2 = 2 ohm).

Always keep in mind the ohms that support the amplifier channels to be the same to those of bodyshakers.
How many watts do bodyshakers endure?
In the features it says that they are 100 W, but they are not real. Hold 100W peaks, but not constants. They are 25w RMS (real), so it is not convenient to use a very powerful amplifier because they can end up burned.
Can I maximize the volume of the amplifier?
It is advisable not to maximize the volume of the amplifier. Ideally, leave it at a maximum of 70% so as not to overload it.
2 or 4 channels amplifier?
If you are going to mount them inside of the seat, with 2 channels you have left over. If you are going to place 1 in each corner of the cockpit emulating the wheels, 4 channels is better.
Do they make a lot of noise?
No. Once you close the door of the room you are in, you don’t bother anyone. It is a thud that carries vibration, but it has nothing to do with the typical buttkickers that annoy even the neighbors. If they make you more noise than usual, you should place some adhesive felt between the bodyshaker and the seat area to avoid that noise. And if you are going to install them in the structure of the cockpit, they should use silemblock or rubber to avoid extra slacks and vibrations.
How do I install them in a fiberglass / carbon fiber seat?
You must screw us on the back and / or the sides, using thread screws less than 20 mm long, so that they do not exceed the other side.

After trying many amplifiers and different configurations, the installation I recommend is:

Bodyshakers’ Opinion

Since I decided to install the bodyshakers, they have become a fundamental element in my cockpit. The level of immersion they produce can only be explained by trying them. I guarantee that when you turn them off after using them, the difference is as great as if you had turned off the sound or the force feedback from the steering wheel, it is something you should try. I would like to mention as a detail that if instead of 4 bodyshakers you decide to place only 2, the best option is on the back since they are much more noticeable than those under the seat and that if you are going to mount them outside the seat, the best option for my taste are the closed ones since aesthetically they go more unnoticed, although if you end up deciding on the closed ones you will be delighted with the purchase.

As for the software used, without a doubt the Simvibe from simxperience is the best option, although at first it may put us off paying almost 70 euros for the software, I assure you that it is totally worth it. The software is very intuitive and allows you to download profiles created by other users and with different ratings so that you can see how other users rate it before downloading it and you will even have the opportunity to share your own profiles with the rest of the community or simply with your friends.

Realism and immersion

What I can say is that there is a big difference between using them and without them. I was afraid that it wouldn’t give everything that was said and I can confirm that any comment falls short. The immersion it provides is surprising. I must say that using it with SimVibe seems essential to me and perhaps acquiring all the elements is quite cheap (although SimVibe makes it a little more expensive), but it is certainly worth it to feel any element of the car or the track. In short, if you are looking for immersion, it is one of the elements that cannot be missing and with the guides and help from Carlos, any small problem will at least not go untreated and the best solution will be sought. In short, if you are looking for realism and immersion, it is a must.

Hello everyone, thanks again to Carlos. The truth is that since I installed the bodyshakers, sitting down to drive is now much more fun and feeling the car is really cool. To configure it with Simvibe, just watch Carlos’ video. Whoever has the opportunity and likes simulation and immersion doesn’t know what they’re missing. Thanks Carlos!!!

Mounting BodyShakers on a playset/office chair

I just wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone…
After spending a couple of years playing some driving games with a G27 wheel from time to time, there comes a time when you want something more… That’s when I started to look into the Cockpit’s and drool with envy 😉 since I have space problems and obviously for this very reason, I can’t embark on that wonderful adventure… Thinking a little more about the subject, it occurred to me to install the BodyShakers on an office chair and that’s when I got in touch with the master of all this (Carlos Casas). After several emails with Carlos, (who I will always be grateful for his videos and the availability he has always had to help me with this subject) the idea of a Backet-type chair with wheels came up, so I could use it as an office chair and as a chair for my steering wheel with BodyShakers installed. And the result couldn’t have been better. As soon as I found a chair with these features, the only thing I had to do was change the wheels for new ones that I bought with brakes, and follow the videos and guides that Carlos Casas provided me… I currently have the chair with brakes and they work like a charm. It doesn’t move at all…
I took the bodyshakers cables out on my right side (just under the armrest) and cut them at two ends (one coming from the amplifier and the other from the chair), joined by RCA connectors. This way, I can join and remove them very comfortably and be able to transport the chair wherever I want and most importantly: without dragging cables.
Today, I continue to enjoy this new addition like a child… It is indeed essential to have them for anyone who likes driving. It is an extremely important degree of immersion…

More like you!

I’ve only been into simracing for a short time, but I like it like few things. I had the chance to visit Valencia and meet Carlos, who is a reference for me due to his passion and the dedication he puts into his instructive videos on his channel.
In a world of racing, competition and so much on offer, it’s great to find someone who has been through it all and has not only known how to filter the best from the best, but also offers to teach it in a way as priceless as this website and with the possibility of trying out his rig, which you will find few like! My goodness, those bodyshakers….
It’s a fantastic help and the possibilities it offers, whether you’re a rookie or an alien, are priceless. For everything else, Mastercard.
Thank you very much again, master! See you on the track!

BODYSHAKERS

Well, what can I say about the BODYSHAKERS? They are really amazing. I have them in a fiber bucket and they hardly make any noise. The sensations are amazing, from the engine vibration, when you put the gears in, the pianos, etc…
As Carlos says, a vibration system is essential for a simulator. And with Carlos’ advice, a 10, without him I think many like me would not know about this system. Well, thank you to Carlos and greetings to everyone.

Must-haves

I’ve said it many times before, the bodyshakers vibration system with Simvibe software is an absolute priority for your cockpit. The realism and immersion they provide is incredible. I can’t imagine driving without them anymore.

Carlos Casas

Simvibe

I’ve been using touch transducers for about 4-5 years now.

The first one was a buttkicker that I had to order from the US, with its amp in mono, I was still on PS3. Afterwards I changed things and the type of transducers, but always for audio.

But be that as it may, when I discovered this, and especially when I tried it… it was the biggest IMMERSION LEAP I’ve tried since changing from the controller to the steering wheel, I think it’s comparable.

That’s why I understand Carlos when he recommends it so much, he already said it at the time, that it was something INDISPENSABLE, even mandatory for simulation.

But now that I’ve moved to PC, and after having read a lot about the subject, especially in SmRacingCoach, I decided to raise the level a bit and acquire SIMVIBE.

Well, I have to say that the change is quite noticeable for audio. Being based on telemetry gives much more play, the vibrations are more precise and give more information.

The software allows you to choose from a number of telemetry options, which are then passed on to the bodyshacker in the form of vibration.
In addition, within these options, there are others to further adjust the parameters…
So you can choose what you want to FEEL more…

In short, I have made another leap in quality with SIMVIBE, very happy with the result.

I entered the world

I entered the world of bodyshakers, pushed by Carlos’ enthusiasm in his YouTube videos… I can only be grateful. The experience is far from being described in words, it’s like attending a show devoid of sensations, or being part of it. It’s the difference between driving and piloting… Together with simvibe, the experience is multiplied.
Thanks to Carlos for his help, advice and sharing his experiences. A guy full of good vibes… “bodyshakerman”

Immersion with vibration system

The vibration system gives you spectacular game immersion. I decided to install them after watching videos by Carlos Casas, and the truth is that when I forget to connect them, I realize immediately, the simulator is very dull without them. I recommend them 100×100. In addition, the technical advice from Carlos is outstanding.

Jose dominguez leon

Essential complement

I started using buttkickers years ago to use them as a booster in my home cinema. But a year ago Carlos opened my eyes to the possibilities they offered for use in games and especially in simulation. Said and done, with his advice I have mounted four independent bodyshakers inside the seat and the experience is unrivalled. And if the audio is impressive, when using Simvibe the sensation of reality is multiplied, the sensations are much finer and more localised. Essential, also taking into account its low price and ease of installation. Next step, Virtual Reality.

Juan José del Alamo

Better than the movement

If there is one thing that was sold to me as the miracle of sensations and that has ended up being true without a doubt it is the Bodyshakers, I assure you that there is nothing more affordable currently to add to your simulator that can connect you more with the car.
I initially prioritized a good movement system before anything else, I spent weeks learning about X-Sim to perfect the movements, and after having everything ready, I felt that I was missing something, that my seat despite moving and reproducing the inertia of the car, was like dead, it did not transmit anything to me.

Then I heard about some big devices called ButtKicker, but luckily I came across the great guide made by Carlos, and his great arguments convinced me to choose the components that he recommends, but nothing could prepare me for when I tried the bodyshakers for the first time and perfectly installed in my seat: I WAS FREAKING AWESOME, suddenly I felt like I was sitting in a sports car feeling the accelerations, gear changes, the roar of the engine…, if you add to this virtual reality glasses and a movement system… AWESOME!!!

I’m serious, don’t put the cart before the horse, get a good vibration system and then the others will come, without a doubt, my movement system doesn’t feel realistic at all if I don’t use it together with the Bodyshakers vibration.

Carlos has taken the trouble to experiment and try several methods, and he lays it all out for us in his PDF GUIDE.
And regarding the software, I recommend that you buy a SIMVIBE license. It is a completely configurable and intuitive program, and it also has a great community of people who create profiles and share them. I am a lover of X-Sim for motion systems and I can tell you that you should not waste your time with X-Sim to use it with Bodyshakers. It is not as configurable in that aspect, and it is also more difficult to use.

I would also like to say that Carlos’ advanced configuration guide on Simvibe is essential for anyone who wants to learn everything perfectly.

If one day you take the step, I am sure that you will write a testimonial of gratitude like mine.

Essential

Awesome way to experience simracing, crucial… in my case I mounted 4 bodyshakers in series on a Sparco R100 and a 2x160W s.m.s.l. amplifier that Carlos Casas recommends on his website. I use them with the Simvibe software, it’s expensive… but here you configure all the parameters to your liking… suspensions, gear changes, asphalt sound, engine sound, etc…
I had several configuration problems, “I think” I drove Carlos crazy, but it’s a pleasure that he’s always attentive to everything, it’s a pleasure and makes a difference.
In addition to the above, it’s important to acquire the advanced simvibe tutorial that he has on his website “simracingcoach”, it offers many tricks and explains everything step by step for the correct installation and configuration of the bodyshakers, its price is symbolic for the work and dedication that the coach gives. The one I attach is testing it before placing them in the Sparco R100

Many thanks for everything.

NOT without bodyshakers

Hello.
By chance a few months ago, browsing simulation and cockpit websites, I saw a bodyshaker for the first time and without much knowledge I thought that because I play on PS4 (not on PC) I couldn’t install it. I was wrong. Thanks to Simracing coach I discovered that the simulation could be either by telemetry (ideally) or by sound. When I saw this second option I decided to install 4 bodyshaker on my playseat. I downloaded the very detailed PDF installation guide. It even contains the links to the necessary materials. I saw the assembly tutorial video explained clearly and simply, a small doubt I had was resolved in a matter of minutes by Carlos.
The issue… The operation and sensations are wonderful (on a Play!), just by sound. For example, in AC you get to the cut of the car and you start to feel pops in your back, you step out a little and feel the texture of the grass or the piano, you accelerate and you notice a push in your back. I would like to say that I would never play games that were great without this system again without vibration, as the change in sensations is incredible. I recommend and encourage anyone who has a PS4 to install it, because I, without being a Mcgiver, have managed to do it by following the instructions on this website step by step, and any email I send is answered quickly with the solution.
So, a 100% satisfactory experience, totally recommended.

Luis Alberto puig

My opinion on Bodyshakers.

Since I discovered the existence of this type of vibration system thanks to Carlos, I knew that I was going to incorporate it, no matter what, into my simulator. I have had the simulator for a year and it was only recently that I was able to add the bodyshakers to my seat with the intention of providing greater immersion to both racing and airplane simulators. The installation did not take more than two hours, but it did take a little longer to fine-tune the audio configuration in the operating system. At first I tried the operation through the audio, without using a low-pass filter, and I have to say that I was amazed. This system gives you the “presence” inside the simulator since your body can feel the vibrations of the engines, the rpm’s and even the asphalt itself.

In airplane simulators it is also amazing, achieving very good sensations even with the hood open and taking the air at the airfield; even the air produces slight vibrations; and not to mention when you shoot or are hit, you even get scared if you don’t see them coming. After adding the low-pass filter, the sensations improve even more since the high frequencies that can even be heard in bodyshakers are not transmitted.

But definitely, if simracing is your thing, the contribution that Simvibe’s software gives you is complete. The installation of this software is mandatory if what you want is to feel every centimeter of the track in your body or the subtlety with which the engine and rpm are felt. I have recommended the use of this type of system to other colleagues, and a couple of them are already enjoying it as much as I am. I encourage you to install them in your simulators and I assure you that you will not regret it.

Opinión Bodyshakers

I recommend it 100%

What can I say about bodyshakers and Simvibe? I simply cannot imagine simulation without them. Once I was about to enter an iracing race, there was less than a minute left before the start and I realized that I didn’t have the amplifier on. I ran to connect them… just in time.

I recommend it 100%, I can’t race without it on. Also, people who have come to my house say that it’s amazing, they even want to put it on their playstation.

Benjamín

First contact with a Simulator

The experience is incredible, the simulator transmits a sensation that can hardly be found in other entertainment systems.

At all times you feel that you are immersed in the situation:

The steering wheel reacts to your movements and the force feedback perfectly simulates the behavior of the steering in the different situations that arise, as well as counter-steering and any type of irregularity on the road.

The VR system is an experience that is difficult to explain, you are simply within the scene, you move both in rotation and in position within the cabin and the depths and sensation of speed feel real.

We also have to highlight the vibration system that makes you feel everything from the engine when you have just started it, to the kerbs. Any irregular surface will be immediately transmitted to the entire vibration system and makes you feel at all times whether you are on the track or off it.

And last but not least, the configuration of buttons, pedals and levers. All of them configured in such a way that the simulation is as close as possible, 1 to 1, to the experience lived in a real car.

Conclusion, it is a totally different way of experiencing the world of motors, in this case the simulation, from what I did before, together with my controller or some generic steering wheel, 100% recommendable!

Bodyshakers system with Simvibe working

Thanks to Carlos Casas for his help in getting my system of 4 external Bodyshakers with Simvibe installed to work correctly with all possible configurations. Without his selfless help it would surely not have been possible, now it is up to me to perfect it little by little. Thanks for everything 😉

Leaving aside a movement system, the best

As the owner of a Bodyshakers cockpit system, I can only give good references to it. Neither for physical fitness nor for economic reasons can I afford a cockpit with movement, and after that, I think that the best option in terms of sensations is this system. Easy to implement, without an outrageous cost, together with the SimVive program, the improvement of immersion is very significant. Much better than any FFB of the best of the steering wheels, one of the aspects to which we give greater importance.

Miguel Acejo

With them off the experience is… bland

It’s when you start driving without them again that you realise what they bring. I have four closed bodyshakers installed on a desk chair with the configuration recommended by Carlos in his impressive guides.

I take this opportunity to thank him for everything he brings, it’s a privilege to have him. With them off the experience is… dull. The sensation when you go over a bump, and the steering wheel moves and you feel the impact of the bodyshakers is impressive. Sometimes it seems like it has moved you two palms off the seat. As a gadget to achieve more immersion, I think it’s indispensable.

Ricardo Del Campo Oca

Not without my Shakers!!!

Hello, first of all, thanks to Carlos for his help, encouragement and enthusiasm. I am an advanced user, I have been using motion simulators for several years and after reading the enthusiasm with which he recommended the use of bass shakers to all of us, I decided to try them. And it is a magnificent complement to a motion simulator. The movement for a simulator is already impressive, but complementing it with well-installed and configured bass shakers is the best, especially if we put them on via Simvibe instead of audio.

For audio it is very good, but for a driving simulator the change when using Simvibe is tremendous. In fact, there are effects that I have removed from the movement and left only in the vibration. And if the cockpit does not have movement, I would say that it is essential to put a vibration system on it, it is not expensive (relatively) and the improvement is huge. And of course I recommend buying the configuration and help videos from Carlos, they are very cheap and make everything crystal clear.

Dualin

100% recommendable.

Installed and operational, I’ve been able to try it a little for family reasons, what I’ve been able to enjoy so far promises a lot, it remains to try profiles and tinker until it is completely to my liking, but for now I’m more than satisfied; the installation is not complicated at all (barely a quarter of an hour), and simvibe is quite intuitive and it will be a matter of trying things out. In short, the experience regarding using a vibration system is very, very different, it’s very worthwhile. Carlos’s tutorials are a perfect guide, clear and concise with everything you need to start tinkering with guarantees.

A big surprise

I was actually expecting a lot less performance than they offer. I imagined that it would just vibrate a little and that it would be fine, but nothing could be further from the truth. I only have one on the backrest and another under the seat and I already find it impressive, the sensations are great and as they say around here I can’t imagine racing without them. If I turn off the amplifier I’m missing something. 100% recommended.
