It is clear that Oriol likes his job and this is evident in his way of explaining and clarifying doubts. He also offers to help once the course is over to resolve any doubts that may arise.
So I can only say that it is a highly recommended course to have a good foundation with which to begin to understand the behaviour of a racing car.

I took both the Motec introductory course and the intermediate level course and found them really useful. I had been trying to use the Motec software for some time and although I more or less knew how to use it before taking the courses, I didn’t know how to interpret so much information. With these courses I have managed to make a lot of progress when it comes to customizing the templates and interpreting the graphics and a good part of the data that we have in the telemetry of our games. From my point of view, both courses are highly recommended.

I have completed the telemetry course and I think that in addition to finishing learning, I found it super interesting, it is highly recommended to do it.

I have taken the basic course and also the setup course. Both have been good for me, I have acquired knowledge and above all I have cleared up doubts I had. The MOTEC Basic Course by simracingcoach with Oriol Domingo at the helm has been very interesting. It introduces us to a tool, MOTEC, which allows us to analyse laps and detect driving errors. MOTEC is a system that is used in real competition, so it is very complex to understand everything it offers and even more so to master its keys, but the course teaches you the most relevant basic aspects for the simracer who wants to improve his driving technique.

If you base everything on trying, trying and trying, with no other reference than the trial-error method, you will also learn and improve your times, but with MOTEC you have a tool to reduce that learning curve of the circuit and the technique and line to apply in each curve. And something very important, it gives you the keys to understand and, therefore, better assimilate, why you improve. One thing is, it is very short, and that is even though we exceeded the initial time planned by half an hour.

Ideally, it should last about three hours: the first one is theoretical and the rest is detailed analysis of the curves of a specific circuit, using as an example a circuit that is known to everyone, which has a bit of all the main types of curves, where the students know in advance what circuit it is about so they have a fresh idea, and where the instructor has prepared graphics created specifically to highlight the most common errors made on those lines. I would not have had any problem paying more for the course because it is very worthwhile.

A very good course to get started with the information provided by telemetry. It is a basic course, let’s not kid ourselves, but for an hour and a half it is enough to get you started and begin to understand a little better those graphs that are “scary” the first time you see them. Recognizing when your car is oversteering, understeering, when you are braking badly or when you are not accelerating well when exiting a curve, just being able to recognize that in telemetry is already worth it, in addition to Oriol’s recommendations on how to solve those problems. The course teaches more things, but in my case I will comment on what I liked the most. A very good introductory course, definitely recommended.

Fantastic, I enjoyed the courses like a child, time flies. It is very interesting to know that it is not all about giving gas but that you have to evaluate the telemetry. This first basic telemetry course is a very good introduction to the world of Motec, since before focusing directly on the settings, they explain and teach you that there are things that are a thousand times more important before setting up the car, which is to perfect yourself as a driver by being able to see your faults reflected in Motec; so that you can later correct them.

When I started in this car “games” thing, I would never have imagined that behind it there are so many tools, techniques and parameters to analyze the behavior of the vehicles and the “drivers” who drive them.

In this course I have learned many things to analyze driving, and although you can go through your career in simracing without needing to know anything about this, being able to see with your own eyes the mistakes you are making, without someone else having to tell you, leaves you with no doubt as to whether they are telling you the truth or not.
Therefore, I see this type of course as something vital for someone who puts some passion into simracing, an indispensable help.

The bad thing about this is that now I have realized the countless number of mistakes I make and the overwhelming amount of work I have ahead of me to correct them.

I have a few hard weeks of work ahead of me to get rid of my bad habits, and all of this without looking at the stopwatch, undoubtedly my worst enemy.
